EASTER : Mardi Gras - Ash Wednesday - Lenten Season

EASTER : Christians celebrate Easter as the resurrection of Christ on the third day after His crucifixion. It is the oldest Christian holiday and the most important day of the church year because of the significance of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the events upon which Christianity is based (1 Corinthians 15:3-4,14). The four Gospels make it clear that Jesus was crucified in conjunction with the Jewish Passover (Matthew 26:17-19; Mark 14:12-16; Luke 22:7-15; John 18:28,39; 1...  Read More...

Reach Out

Petra penned, "Just reach out and He will reach in.  Take a broken heart and make it whole again."  It doesn't matter who you are or where you've been, just reach out and He'll reach in."

The power of God is unleashed in the life that reaches out in faith to Jesus Christ.

Too often we let excuses (our stories) keep us from reaching out in faith to Christ.

We are as close and intimate with Christ as we want to be.

Since the beginning of 2011, what direction would you say that your spiritual life is moving… closer to God or farther away?

Closer! God is teaching me A LOT right now - changing my heart to see what really matters in this life and changing my motives to Him - the bottom line is He died for me, so I am loved, and everything I do should be motivated by His love for me, so that I can spread this Good News to others and share it, to give Him all the glory.

To what you wrote above, I came across my new fave Psalm this morning. The last verse in Psalm 81 says:

"LORD Almighty,
blessed is the one who trusts in you."

What an awesome promise we can claim - if we trust, He blesses!
