On your first Sunday at NORTHSHORE FAMILY CHURCH, we encourage you to arrive around 10 minutes early for our celebration service at 10am in the G-P Intermediate School (4200 Wildcat Drive in Portland, TX).

As you arrive, allow us to give you a warm welcome as we connect in the cafeteria.  Come as you are because we dress comfortable and casual.  Help yourself to the breakfast area and free resources.

The countdown will signal the beginning of the service.  Grab a seat and get ready for the service we’ve designed to help you encounter God.

The service begins with all ages joining together for interactive praise and worship singing led by Josh Abel and our Shore Band.

Kids (6th grade and under) are dismissed after we sing to their targeted 252 Basics in our Northshore Kids areas just off the cafeteria.  Adults and youth remain in the meeting room as we allow God's word to intersect with our life, then do our best to respond to God as He leads.  After the message, we are challenged to take the next steps spiritually and we begin the process of putting the resources back into the trailer.

KNOW THIS:  Before you arrive, we have a crew that transforms the school into a church with equipment, resources, and most importantly... a focused time of prayer.

About the Scriptures: We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture.  We believe the Bible is without error.

About God: We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of those who would trust in Him as Savior and Lord.

About Humanity: We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

About Salvation: We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.

About the Christian Life: We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.

About the Church: We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and making him known to the lost world.
