Hosea 10:12, "Sow with a view to righteousness. Reap in accordance with kindness.  Break up your fallow ground for it is time to seek the Lord until He comes to rain righteousness on you."

Gratefulness has a way of keeping your heart tender and teachable before God and others.

Some things I am grateful to experience over the past few days...

  • being used by God to accomplish His plans and purposes when He is THE SOURCE.
  • officiating at a wedding gave me opportunity to reflect and share about my own marriage
  • laughter of my children
  • game of golf with friends
  • people taking ownership and serving that we might be a planting of the Lord for His glory.
  • acts of worship through sacrificial giving and provision
  • small group conversations
  • blessing babies
  • celebrating the stories of others about how God answered prayer for little things
  • excitement about what God is doing in children's ministry
  • developing relationships with new families
  • Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8)
  • grace

What are some of the things you are grateful?

- My job
- Co-worker Kathy comes to our church and can't say enough about the music or how nice the people are
- opportunity to learn and play bass guitar
- Miss Betty Haywood, another co-worker of mine hearing about Kathy's experience and asked for explicit direction to get to Northshore Family
- My wife finished her half-marathon
- seeing church culture redefined in a way I've never experienced
- the freedom and utter relief I feel every Sunday
- being on the forefront of watching God's hand move so quickly and with such power, not anticipating and desiring what my own thoughts of church and the possibilties of the future hold for Northshore Family, but rather waiting in eager anticipation on the Lord and what He is going to do with Northshore Family...I've learned...what He does is better...John 10:10!

where to begin???

- for the sacrifice my husband (and me and the girls) make for this great country...although it is a VERY tough sacrifice to make

- for a church family that is there for me at the drop of a hat for ANYTHING that I may need.... including just friendship!

- for a pastor that feels so passionately about our community and the lives that we can reach as a Christ-following church

- for my parents/family that is sooooo supportive and willing to spend time here in Texas with us - a COMPLETE blessing... and yes, I know I am super spoiled :)

- for children who remind me constantly how BIG our God is by just the simple things they notice in life

- for healthy children, including the little guy that's growing as we speak

- for chocolate (almond m&m's, snickers, kit name it) and Diet Coke :)

- for my past...although not the most glorious, because it is a FIRM reminder of where I have been, what I have been through, and what the Lord had in store for me the entire time!!

- for my present because I can see God working in and through me, even though it's painful at times...I am grateful

- for my future, because not matter what tomorrow brings, I know who I belong to and I know where I am going....
