EASTER : Mardi Gras - Ash Wednesday - Lenten Season

EASTER : Christians celebrate Easter as the resurrection of Christ on the third day after His crucifixion. It is the oldest Christian holiday and the most important day of the church year because of the significance of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the events upon which Christianity is based (1 Corinthians 15:3-4,14). The four Gospels make it clear that Jesus was crucified in conjunction with the Jewish Passover (Matthew 26:17-19; Mark 14:12-16; Luke 22:7-15; John 18:28,39; 1...  Read More...

Day 6 Life is a Temporary Assignment

The focus that life is a temporary assignment reminds me of the Stephen Curtis Chapman song, "We are not home yet."

We must remember this... We are not home yet, we are not home yet... Keep on looking ahead, let your heart not forget, We are not home yet... So close your eyes with me And hear the Father saying, " Welcome home" Let us find the strength in all His promises to carry on. He said, "I'll go prepare a place for you" So let us not forget We are not home yet...  I know there'll be a moment, I know there'll be a place Where we will see our Savior and fall in His embrace So let us not grow weary or too content to stay 'Cause we are not home yet... We are not home yet

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. ~ Hebrews 12:1-2
