EASTER : Mardi Gras - Ash Wednesday - Lenten Season

EASTER : Christians celebrate Easter as the resurrection of Christ on the third day after His crucifixion. It is the oldest Christian holiday and the most important day of the church year because of the significance of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the events upon which Christianity is based (1 Corinthians 15:3-4,14). Advent Season resource

ADVENT means COMING!  The focus of the entire season is the celebration of the birth of JESUS the CHRIST in his first Advent, and the anticipation of the return of CHRIST the KING in his Second Advent.

The circular advent wreath is made of evergreen to symbolize growth and everlasting life.  The candles represent weeks of preparation as we are reminded of the growing light of Christ's presence.

My family will be using a new resource to celebrate this advent season.   Beginning on December 1st through Christmas, we will have a family devotion based on Ann Voskamp's book, Unwrapping the Greatest Gift... a family celebration of Christmas.  We bought our copy of the book from Mardel.

When we remember the Creator, it will transform the season!
